In search of a routine more likely to get a fresh HI54 Mix Tape out the door every week, I started mixing my mix tape making headphone time with my HI54 Mix CD updating headspace near the end of 2019 and I’ll be damned if it didn’t turn out to be one those rare “this seems like a good idea” ideas that actually turned out to be a good idea… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ … who knows, maybe the rumours are true and one does get better at things if they just keep plugging along?

{a ‘Country-Flavoured’ episode}Episode 196 was created while shuffling around in the ongoing HI54 Mix CD ‘WHEN I SAID I LIKED "COUNTRY" MUSIC’ — which is a Spotify playlist I keep stocked with 95 tracks/artists that make the kind of ‘proper’ “country” music that gets my ears tapping their boots (so follow/like that playlist on Spotify for easy future repeat shuffle updates). And if you’ve ever tuned into modern country radio these day, I’m sure you can understand my need to clarify whenever I say “I like country music…” out loud.
