THE HI54 BANDCAMP SHUFFLE | August 2019
One thing tends to lead to another.
Case in point: earlier this year, I started a weekly blahg feature called “THE SHUFFLE UP’D 8”, in which I highlight 8 tracks from my most recent Spotify playlist updates by embedding some individual Bandcamp players.
Eventually, it slowly occurred to me that I could use these weekly SHUFFLE UP’D 8 posts as a way to get back to creating monthly Bandcamp playlists over on the HI54 Playmoss. I mean, if you’re already doing the work of grabbing the Bandcamp embeds…
So, if you’re like me and prefer Bandcamp over all the other music platforms —even though they don’t have their own playlist functionality (yet?) — these Playmoss playlists provide a handy way of listening to a sweet mix of tunes where each track links out to that artists Bandcamp page (so you can easily support the artist directly, and maybe even write your own little FANDCAMP review if/when something catches your fancy).
At the end of each month, I also go through all my Submithub approvals to see which tracks have their audio source set to Bandcamp and add those tracks to the monthly mix as well (in case you’re wondering why the track total isn’t always a factor of 8).
