HI54… THE 90s @ HOURGLASS KIMBERLEY | A HI54 SOCIALLY DISTANT DJ SET (14042022)
I asked a local cocktail lounge (s/o The Hourglass in Kimberley, BC) if they would be interested in playing a 4hr 1990s mix cd (aka: a curated playlist) on a slow Thursday night to see if that’s something that people might come out to have some drinks to (and, worse case scenario, it just ends up being a normal Thursday night soundtracked by a subjectively sweet 1990s playlist that can be shared the next day for whoever wants to listen whenever/wherever, or whatever etc).
They said ‘yep!’ and… last night (Thursday, April 14th, 2022), they pressed play on this new HI54… THE 90s Mix CD and now you can too:

Because… just because you weren’t able to come out and have drinks at a cozy cocktail lounge in a small mountain town while listening to the above playlist whilst wearing 90s-inspired modern wardrobe decisions (dealer’s choice), that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to tap into the same 90s vibes from last night while you’re at home doing the dishes or when you’re driving to the bank to get a loan out to go buy more gasoline (and this ‘listen to human made mix cds wherever/whenever you are’ idea is also the main idea behind the idea behind another mountown music thing I sometimes mess about with called MOUN.TOWN/FM, fyi).
In regards to this 90s playlist, just note that if you press play on the first track and make sure ‘shuffle’ is NOT turned on, you will get a curated ‘mix cd’ listen, as that’s how it was put together (but if you’re feeling wild, you can also just hit the ‘shuffle’ button and remix your own version that’ll also sound nice — which makes for good multiple listens).
