Here's the 9th instalment of the Mixcloud series where I go back to the iTunes organizational system I had setup when I used to run a 24/7 internet radio station… and then I shuffle up a selection of 'Mix Tape Radio approved' tunes and put together an 18-track HI54 Mixed CD.
I recently did a proper deep dive thru all 14 of The Tragically Hip's studio albums so I could officially figure out what my official subjective album rankings would be... and a part of that process resulted in the creation of a massive mix cd featuring 95 of my fave Hip songs. This is that mix cd.
Episode 110 of The Mix Tape Radio Show features 8 gems shuffled out of the HI54 Mix CD ‘EH CANADA’ - ft. Charlotte Cornfield, Basement Revolver, Mauno, The Tragically Hip + a whole bunch more maple-flavoured headphones goodness.
This ongoing yearly tracker archive gets filled with everything I like throughout the current calendar year (rule: only 1 track per artist). And then, at the end of the year, a '20 X YEAR' playlist is put together and then this playlist goes back to 0 to do it all over again the next year.
The HI54 ‘Provincial Playlists’ idea continues, this time with 95 nice tracks from 95 different artists being carefully exported from the Canadian province of Ontario for your listening pleasure / headphone tourism needs.
