In local mountown news: a proposal to change our communities zoning so a McDonalds Gas Station Car Wash development can go forward has been raising red flags in a lot of locals, so here is an ‘open letter’ that a local business owner recently shared with me after our in-person chat hit on the messaging around the Golden Arches (maybe) coming to town.
“There are four times a year when the seasons change and you can feel the very specific sensation of being reminded how different things can be by mowed grass smell. Get coffee with your friends and walk there (or more likely drive with the windows down). Try to remember the casual joy the universe is handing out!”

There are certain songs that sound especially perfect when paired with a quiet morning, a warm beverage, and having enough time to just sit and do nothing except enjoy that special bit of the day that exists before the actual day rears its demanding head again.
