THE MIX TAPE RADIO MIX CDs | DISC 01

In search of way to start uploading more + longer mixes to Mixcloud, I ended up rediscovering some iTunes organizational tools I had setup back when ‘Mix Tape Radio’ was a 24/7 internet radio stream, which eventually led to a new mix series idea called THE MIX TAPE RADIO MIX CDs —and here’s DISC 01.

FANDCAMP: Rock Bottom Rhapsody

“Say hello to an amazing blend of blues, jazz, country, gospel, and alt-folk brilliance! Pokey LaFarge pulls off the Tom Waits trick of seeming to come from another time without sounding dated, and the songs are so cool and catchy they feel like newly-minted standards of the genre. This record's just impossibly groovy from start to finish.”

FANDCAMP: South Somewhere Else

“Very relevant subjects discussed here, done in a way only this band can. Once again, Nana Grizol refuses to release anything that is less than spectacular, and I hope for many many many more releases to rate 10/10 like I have with all the other albums these beautiful people have put out.”

EPISODE 154 | THE MIX TAPE RADIO SHOW

Episode 154 of The Mix Tape Radio Show features 8 gems pulled from my personal Bandcamp Collection - ft. Icarus Phoenix, Fighting Kites, Noname, Julia Jacklin + a bunch more Available-on-Bandcamp-flavoured headphone goodness (ps: Friday, September is another special ‘Bandcamp Friday’).
