“A record predominantly based around seemingly improvisational drone pieces incorporating judicious voice and atmospheric sampling, alternating manifestations of sublime beauty and extreme darkness and just general originality and uniqueness.”
“I've always associated Wilco's entire existence as only existing when I was an adult human, even though I've always known the math of that doesn't add up. Feels weird to know that I technically could have been into them since I was 12 years old.”
“Quit using Facebook. I did and I’m loving it. Seriously, it is awful and a huge waste of time.”
EPISODE 64 kicks off with a haunting acapella work song, and before things close out with a band to watch out for from Melbourne, you'll hear some Detroit hip hop, indie rock from Leeds, folk from Edmonton, some rock steady from you probably can guess, and even a Bee Gees cover.
“It's been a very long time since I love a song like I love "winter". It is the stuff of which beautiful, soft dreams are made of.”
“Riff central, is what. Probably Marnie's best full release to date! She keeps getting better and better!”
“This has got to be the single most amazing conceptual piece of music composition ever conceived.”
“I'm not particularly good at this but one thing I've been thinking about lately is being willing to be more flexible in the pursuit of goals.”
“Sit in the sun at least 30 minutes a day. Not walking, not running, not working. Just sit and feel the sun.”
“Oh baby these are some hot tracks, some Grade A Quality beach rock for all the cool kids out there.”
