SHUFFLE UPDATE: August 26, 2019
The SHUFFLE UP’D EIGHT for this week…
I originally started these weekly ‘SHUFFLE UP’d EIGHT’ posts as a way to highlight a few tracks (ok, 8 tracks if you want to get specific) from the weekly reshuffling ‘HI54 WEEKLY SHUFFLE’ playlist (which I update every Sunday with a fresh batch of 54 tracks/artists for anyone not already following on Spotify), but then I started thinking:
What if sometimes the “shuffle up’d 8” got pulled from a different HI54 Spotify playlist? Y’know, as a way to highlight a differently themed HI54 Mix CD, because those playlists also get reshuffled regularly and are filled with tracks that can be found on Bandcamp too?
And since I was recently enjoying a mountain town breakfast while listening to the mountain town soundtrack I keep updated (because I just so happen to live in a mountain town), I figured this would be as a good week as any to highlight some of the nice mountain town vibes you’ll find in the ongoing HI54 Mix CD ‘MOUNTOWN LIFE’ (♫ Spotify / Soundsgood):

And I guess that’s about that for the SHUFFLE UP’D EIGHT for this week’s shuffle update (and yes, you’re right: “shuffle up’d eight” does sound a lot like “shuffle update”).
Hopefully you’ll find a few new pieces for your personal headphone collection, whether that be from the 8 tracks highlighted above, or from one of the many other excellent tracks/artists featured in the full ‘MOUNTOWN LIFE’ playlist — which gets updated regularly if you fancy following along for future shuffles.
