#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?

I always say Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, you can’t go wrong there.

As far as something newer goes, I think the most recent Grizzly Bear and Spoon albums are really great, but for something more of the readers might not have heard, check out our pals Feverbones from Austin, TX.

Their album and live show is fantastic.

#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?

Again, going to some classics first, I love Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Shows I’ve liked more recently though, Better Call Saul is pretty great, I probably like it even more than Breaking Bad. I’ve also been enjoying Silicon Valley and finally finished Dexter.

#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?

For any beer lovers out there, you should read Tasting Beer by Randy Mosher. It’s really informative for anyone looking to learn the history of beer styles, etc.

For the creative types I’ll throw in some self help here, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert is great, it’ll get those creative juices flowing for sure.

#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?

Probably have to be the Voice Memo app. I use it all of the time to get my ideas down for songs I’m working on. I’d be lost without it.

And maps, definitely maps, for the same reason.

#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.

I’d say life would be better for anyone that traveled more often. It doesn’t even really matter where you go, just getting out there is good. See stuff. Experience different cultures. Try to have conversations with people who don’t speak your language.

It’s fun and eye opening and less boring than if you didn’t do it.

OK folks, there you have it. Things that Wesley Jensen thinks you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before you log off to go look into cheap flights to places you've never been before, make sure to follow Wesley on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter and swing by Bandcamp to start digging into that ace collection of EPs being released in 4 parts.
