#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?
Arthur Russell - Calling Out Of Context. Should be on everyone’s playlist forevermore.
#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?
Queer Eye for tv, people doin favours for people who really need Favours :P
Luxury Comedy *Season 1* - if you want an awesome zany show!
#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?
Perhaps Demian by Hermann Hesse if you want an old school read that we may or may not have borrowed lyrics from. Or The Secret History if you want a real page turner.
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle Mcnamara if you’re into true crime.
#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?
Tone Matrix always cheers me up and I could play with it for hours.
#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.
• Get some hobbies outside of the black mirror of social media, pick up something physical, real and dig your hands and heart into it. It's good for the soul. Might also make you live longer. (Running, Biking, Hiking, Painting, Music making, Film Making, poetry, sewing, love making, love making, etc)
• Writing and shooting skits with friends - its an awesome way to hang out with something to do together and you’ll always end up laughing.
•Playing the piano - even if you’ve never taken lessons. Just go for it.
OK folks, there you have it. Things that Favours think you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before you log off to go make 'playing piano with sunscreen on' skits with your friends, make sure to follow Favours on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter and go follow on Spotify for when they drop their next single.
