Here's the 10th instalment of the once bi-weekly Mixcloud series where I would go back to the iTunes organizational system I had setup when I used to run a 24/7 internet radio station and shuffle up a selection of 'Mix Tape Radio approved' tunes and put together an 18-track HI54 Mix’d CD.
Sometimes it takes an Esther Phillips to walk into the room in order to break you out of the trance that Adrianne Lenker’s voice tends to put one in. This mix tape has both of those things. Plus more.

In an attempt to free up some headspace for other work during these last couple weeks of October, I’ll be taking a break from creating new Mixcloud mixes EVERY Thursday and instead will be sharing some old mixes that were posted to Mixcloud before HI54.BLOG even existed. This one goes back to March 2012 :)
Since my iPhone battery decided to go dead, and since my 3 nieces were coming for a mountain town visit for the last week of June, I decided to take a ‘mostly offline’ break. BUT… since I had some “lost episodes” in the pocket, I scheduled some Mixcloud uploads for the usual Monday & Thursday mixes. So here’s MTR EPS 030.
