* Providing the A's to the 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Q's today is Philippe Bronchtein- a singer-songer whose voice might make you think of Hip Hatchet (for a very logical reason), and whose first release under his own name is out now and is really damn good and you should listen/get right after you get through the recs below.

#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?

I'm going to shamelessly plug some of the people I've been playing sideman for recently. Take a listen to The War and Treaty, Caitlin Canty, and Pony Bradshaw. All wonderful artists worth your time and attention.

#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?

I don't own a TV & am not a big film buff, but I often find myself re-watching older HBO shows. I just re-watched The Wire & OZ which are both fantastic & very smart.

#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?

I find very little time to sit still and read these days. Certainly something I need to be better about. I finished a novel by the name of 'IQ' recently. It's a good detective story with some fun twists and turns. It was an easy read, something fun to dig into in the back of a tour van. I also loved the Dog Stars & the Painter, both by Peter Heller.

#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?

The Steel Guitar Forum is the best website on the internet. I started playing pedal steel two years ago and the wealth of knowledge and sweet gear on that website never manages to leave me bored.

#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.

I love coffee & got an Aeropress. It's completely changed the game for me. I bring it on tour, I use it at home. I love it so much.

OK folks, there you have it. Things that Philippe Bronchtein thinks you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before you log off to go find an Aeropress to change your game (I can vouch for them being sweet), make sure to follow Philippe on the Facebook / Twitter / Instagram and go give that new ‘Me and the Moon’ album a spin on Bandcamp (come to think of it, it’d be a good album to listen to with a coffee).
