HIGHLY RECOMMENDED W/ OM COLLECTIVE
#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?
ONE? It really depends on the mood of the hypothetical person. But most people don't have enough crazy in their life, so, "Feel The Love" by Kanye, Kid Cudi, and King Push.
#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?
I don't watch much, but the best thing I saw recently - ok, it was two years ago - was HER.
Maybe particularly good if you've been in a long-distance relationship.
#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?
Haha. Had to read that a couple of times. It wasn't 'thrilling', but 'Nicomachean Ethics' was extremely influential.
Aristotle argued that happiness is the result of living virtuously. That's pretty massive, I think.
#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?
Everything in Internetland seems so replaceable.. But if somehow nothing came to replace it, Youtube disappearing would be a massive bummer for me / the world.
I think it's the future of education. It's already the now of education. University will largely be replaced by Youtube. I guess it already has been. I learnt pretty much everything I know about engineering, production, and live visuals on Youtube. Obviously Nyan Cat is important too.
#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.
This isn't to say I condone illegal substance use ...because Denver is decriminalising it... So do the mental prep-work (whether that's weeks or years), go to Denver, and allow yourself the opportunity to engage in a responsible psilocybin mushroom session.
Be ready, be responsible, and the potential it'll have to change your life will be unmatched.
OK folks, there you have it. Things that OM Collective thinks you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before you log off and go have a legal Denver experience for yourself, make sure to follow OM Collective on the Facebook / Instagram / Twitter and then also give ‘Mayae’ a listen below…
