HIGHLY RECOMMENDED W/ MISC.INC
#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?
An album I can always go back to is ‘FREE 6LACK’ by 6Lack.
I was listening to this album during a time in my life, where almost everything changed. New job, new home, new love. It’s one of those albums for me, where I get back in time. Also the beats are superb. PRBLMS gives me goosebumps.
#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?
I’m really not a person who watches shows or many movies on Netflix, just because I know, I’d binge watch the entire thing for the next month. What I loved as a teen was Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Also I like Tarantino movies.
#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE LOCAL BOOK STORE (OK, MAYBE THE LOCAL LIBRARY FIRST) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?
Tough question. What I’m not watching on TV I do read in books. I read a lot about personal development, spiritual growth and non fiction in general. Many books just slip through my hands and leave me motivated or inspired, but what really had an impact was '12 Rules For Life' by Jordan B. Peterson.
Finding meaning in what you do, dedicating yourself to growth and always telling the truth (including to yourself) are just some of many points in this book.
#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?
Easy. I could have thought of something cool or funny, but Dropbox is so incredible essential for me, it’s insane. Basically my whole computer including all Ableton projects are in my Dropbox. Wherever I go, I can access my beats, ideas and finished songs. This really made an impact.
Also if your luggage gets stolen, it’s just cool to have a copy of your password/ID somewhere in a cloud ;-)
#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITTING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.
Rather than recommending to do something, I recommend to avoid two things. If you’re struggling with depression try to avoid:
1. Pornography
& 2. Sugar
Both worked wonders for me and my mental health.
OK folks, there you have it. Things that misc.inc thinks you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before go try not to make eye contact with porn and sugar for the rest of the day, make sure to follow misc.inc on the Facebook / Instagram / Twitter and then also give ‘Amber’ a listen below…
