* Providing the A's to the 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Q's today is Leathan Milne, a singer-songer from the other side of my new home province of British Columbia, who just so happens to have a really great new album out called 'The Ground Beneath Us' that you should go check out on Bandcamp.

#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?

Antibalas - Goldrush. I recently went to see Antibalas here in Vancouver, my third time seeing them, and was reminded of the power and chemistry that they generate on stage. Afrobeat is a style of music that is best enjoyed live, and if you ever get a chance to see this band it is really something you should experience.

This is a track off of their new record that I've been giving lots of spins to lately.

#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?

Rick and Morty. I am a big fan of this show, although it took me a few episodes to become convinced. It's the perfect amount of strange and hilarious.

If you've got a bit of a warped sense of humour, then I recommend you give it a go.

#3 - I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?

Stoner - John Williams. I spend lots of time reading so it's really hard for me to choose just one. That being said I just recently finished 'Stoner' by John Williams and it was one of the best books I've ever read.

I'm not going to go too deeply in to the story but I will say this: If you enjoy reading, go out and buy this book. It is truly one of the greats. You absolutely will not regret it.

#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?

The stewartmacdonald Youtube Channel. I'm admittedly not really a tech person but I just can't stop watching Dan Erlewine fix broken guitars.

What can I say? The guy can fix anything and for some reason I find it quite enjoyable.

#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITTING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.

Hiking. Turn off your devices, strap on a pack and get up in to the mountains!

Great for the brain AND the body. Bonus points if you bring your tent and some good books.

OK folks, there you have it. Things that Leathan Milne thinks you should consider incorporating into your day/life. Before you log off and go walk up the nearest hill, make sure to follow Leathan on FacebookInstagram and maybe go download 'There Is The Ground Beneath Us' so you can listen to it at the top.
