HIGHLY RECOMMENDED W/ GREAT NORTH

#1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?
I love the song Something On Your Mind by Karen Dalton. It’s the song I wake up to as my alarm clock every morning and I still don’t hate it, which is the highest praise I can give.
#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?
Maybe The End of the F***ing World, if you want to see a psychopathic British teenager go on a road trip with his precocious girlfriend.
Or maybe The Good Place, if you like to laugh and also be browbeaten with theories of ethics.
Or maybe Mindhunter, if you like to watch barely fictionalised serial killers undergoing FBI interviews about why they decided to have sex with the dismembered body parts of their family members.
That is my recommendation for one (1) show.

I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?
The Adversary by Emmanuel Carrere if you don’t mind feeling incredibly depressed. This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay if you don’t mind feeling slightly depressed.
Or the entire Discworld series by Terry Pratchett if you don’t mind feeling a normal amount of depressed.
#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?
Removing websites markedly improves the world, with very few, if any, exceptions. I am in favour of deleting the entire Internet, with the possible exception of the Guilty Denver video.
#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.
Recently I switched to a different method of making scrambled eggs, and it has turned my life around.
For many years I cooked the eggs on a low heat. However now I will heat the pan until it’s very hot. I then place the eggs on the pan for - and this is important - a very short period of time. Often I will put the eggs in the pan and then lift it straight off the heat. Then I will frantically attack the eggs with my spatula thing and put them straight onto my toast.
Though this method sounds stressful, and is at first, it has reduced the amount of time it takes for me to cook scrambled eggs by a factor of 2, or perhaps even more. That makes a difference in the morning.
