It seemed appropriate that the first episode of the new year would kick off with a song that is not only called 'Happy New Year', but it's first line is also “Happy New Year… everybody”. The rest of the hour doesn't really have anything to do with the wishing of new year happiness, but it is chock full of some really ace tunes. There are few old-ish tracks, mixed in with a healthy couple scoops of some excellent music from 2013 (some of which you'll find in my favourite tracks of 2013 mixes, but a few that I discovered after those mixes were made) as well as one track from this year that isn't even 2 weeks old yet.
