Mix Tape Radio: Episode 048

Episode 48 kicks off with the loveliest song ever written about inappropriate teacher / student relations and closes out with a tune from The Golden Dregs latest. In between those two, you'll find some new Thom Yorke and some old-but-new-to-me Elliott Smith, a bunch of gems from 2014 (I've spent the start of my 2015 listening to 2014), a late night Patrick Porter rambling, and a tasty taste from ANOTHER excellent William Ryan Fritch album.

You might also notice that this episode is a little shorter than the others. Well, that's because I'm going to be switching to a 40-45 minute length instead of the previous 1 hour mark. I'm thinking that'll make for better listening experience (i.e. an hour can be a lot to expect from people, what with all the shiny things out there competing for their time) + make things a little better on my end when it comes to putting together an episode every 2 weeks and writing about the music featured (the mix tape is only 15 minutes shorter, but there's a lot of time that would have went into those extra 15 minutes of mix tape).

Anyway… Happy New Year and Happy Listening and All That Stuff!

Finally, please remember to remember the following: music makes all our lives a bit more bearable, but the continued making of that music requires all of us listeners to give a little love back. Whether that be by buying what we like, sharing a metaphorical pint, or even just the simple act of spreading the word / letting the artist know how much you dig it, basically, anything beyond silent appreciation goes a really long way.
