Mix Tape Radio: Episode 046
I try my best to do a new episode of this show every 2nd week… but sometimes I escape the greyness of England for a spell and have to postpone the making of these 1 hour mix tapes. So while I was away in Portugal, rather than rush putting together a new episode in between packing, I decided to put together three 8tracks mix tapes that highlighted some of the music that's been featured over the last 45 episodes (mix #1 / mix #2 / mix #3) and waited until I got home to spend the proper amount of time on making the 46th episode.
And that, my friends, is why EPISODE 46 is one week late.
You didn't notice? Oh. Well in that case, here's another lovely episode of the Mix Tape Radio show, chock full of ace tunes —from the likes of Thrupence, Neil Young, ScotDrakula, Wooden Sky, Tiny Ruins + a whole bunch more— and right on schedule.
Just press that play button below and consider the soundtrack for the next hour of your day sorted the f out.
If you like what you hear, it'd be real cool of you if you hit those Heart & Share buttons, as well as pass this show around on Twitter and Facebook and Tumblr and Anywhere Else and to Anyone Else you may know that has the same fine taste in music as you. And don't forget to subscribe on iTunes, as you can download all episodes there for free (this one will be up later in the week). Cheers!
EPISODE 046 - TRACK LISTING w/ LINKS
And of course, you can always swing by the HI54LOFI Mixcloud page and listen to all 46 episodes of the 'Mix Tape Radio' show. And/Or, swing by iTunes and download the last 45 shows for FREE / subscribe to all future episodes (Episode 46 will be going up on iTunes in about a week… so it wouldn't be a bad idea to click the subscribe button while you're there, no?).
And don't forget… there is also the 24hr stream of tunes that is the Mix Tape Radio internet radio station (where, at some point, you'll hear most of these songs + a whole bunch of others in the pretty big and always getting bigger rotation of quality tuneage).
Finally, please remember to remember the following: music makes all our lives a bit more bearable, but the continued making of that music requires all of us listeners to give a little love back. Whether that be by buying what we like, sharing a metaphorical pint, or even just the simple act of spreading the word / letting the artist know how much you dig it, basically, anything beyond silent appreciation goes a really long way.
