HIGHLY RECOMMENDED W/ THE MARV
* Providing the A's to the 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Q's today is The Marv — a young Sri Lankan mom who started dropping beats and then never stopped, eventually one of those beats ended up in the HI54 ‘BEETS’ mix cd and now we all get to check out some Marv approved life tips below and then we get to pop over to Soundcloud for some further beet sampling. #1 - WHAT IS THE ONE ALBUM (OR EP OR SONG) THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE VERY NEXT MUSICAL THING THAT EVERYONE PRESSES PLAY ON THE NEXT TIME THEY FIND THEMSELVES THINKING “WHAT SHOULD I LISTEN TO NOW”?
I recently stumble upon Mick Jenkins' track Understood. I really dig the arrangements. Perfect bass line. Of course when you know that Kaytranada produced it you are less surprised but still, in this track, everything is fine and refined :p
#2 - WHAT IS THE ONE MOVIE OR TV SHOW THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE NEXT IN EVERYBODY’S NETFLIX QUEUE (OK, DOESN’T HAVE TO BE NETFLIX, WE’RE ALL INTERNET ADULTS HERE AND KNOW HOW TO FIND ANYTHING ONLINE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)?
I would say The Expanse, if you like Sci-fi. It is to be noted that the production of the series paid special attention to the diversity of the casting :) Needless to say that the strong part played by Shohreh Aghdashloo is my favorite character.
#3. I (AND BY “I” I MEAN “THE PERSON THAT IS READING THIS”) AM GOING TO THE BOOK STORE (OK, PROBABLY AMAZON) TO FIND THE VERY NEXT BOOK THAT I WILL BE PUTTING SOME EXTREMELY VALUABLE ‘ME-TIME' ASIDE FOR. WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU GET, IF YOU WERE ME (AND, I SUPPOSE, YOU HADN’T ALREADY READ WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO SUGGEST)?
Ok, so this one I'm gonna discover with you. I have strongly been recommended the sci-fi classic:
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin (1969), I ordered it last week so I'll read it very soon.
#4 - WHAT IS THE ONE WEBSITE (OR JUST ANY OLD INTERNET THING: APP, GIF, SERVICE, WHATEVER) THAT YOU WOULD GET REALLY DOWN IN THE DUMPS ABOUT IF IT WERE TO SUDDENLY GO AWAY?

#5 - AND FINALLY… PLEASE GIVE ONE COMPLETELY UNAIDED RECOMMENDATION THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD START DOING / USING / WATCHING / EATING / THINKING / QUITING / ETC-ING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BIT MORE BETTER AND/OR BEARABLE.
I think people should start talking to each other a bit more. Now, turn off your device and get out of the house, get some fresh air! Swim. Get this body as tired as your brain and get some good quality sleep.
