Fandcamp 172: Guppy

Fandcamp 172: Guppy

“Ever since getting John Cale's experimental "The Academy In Peril"(1972) & beautiful "Paris 1919"(1973), I've been fascinated by artists who switch between these genres. Darren Hayman is a more recent case in point. Benjamin follows this tradition grandly and "Guppy" is, in my view, a complete and utter masterpiece. Listen carefully for the many glorious melodies that emerge through the soundscapes. I'm just so glad that I "get" it.” Gavin Hellyer
